Jaw & Orthognathic Surgery
As a Craniofacial and Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, one of Dr. Khan’s primary focus is Orthognathic Surgery (jaw reconstruction). He has been performing these complex procedures for misaligned bites and craniofacial deformities for over 10 years.
Orthognathic Surgery corrects conditions related to jaw deformities and facial bone imbalance. The procedures align and correct any of the following:
- Congenital bite misalignment
- Developmental bite misalignment
- Trauma-related bite problems
- Facial Asymmetry
Orthognathic Surgery is also successful in treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea and is the only surgical procedure available to provide effective relief from Sleep Disordered Breathing and Sleep Apnea. As a leader in Orthognathic Surgery, Dr. Khan works with Orthodontists throughout Cincinnati and the Midwest to ensure the very best care possible. Dr. Khan understands that Orthognathic Surgery is more than “fixing the bite.”
Dr. Khan’s philosophy emphasizes on:
- harmony and balance of facial esthetics
- correcting the patients bite
- enlarging the patient’s airway.
Treatment planning surgery with the Orthodontist in this fashion ensures long-term stability, facial harmony and esthetics.
Dr. Khan performed my rapid palatal expansion (RPE) surgery about 6 weeks ago. Everything went smoothly and I am healing very nicely. He and his staff really care about the recovery of their patients and are very accommodating. The office is very nice, clean, and welcoming, even homey. I will be having a second surgery (part 2) in the near future and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Dr. Khan uses the latest technology for the best and most accurate outcomes for all his jaw reconstruction patients. Here you see an example of how he uses VSP (Virtual Surgical Planning) to predict the movements of the jaws.
